LEMON LAWS
Lemon laws are among the many federal consumer protection laws established to prevent fraud and the mis-representation of the condition of cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, boats, and other "lemon" products at the time of sale.
Lemon laws vary from state-to-state, so it's important to understand the laws in the jurisdiction you made the purchase of the product you wish to return under the lemon law. In addition, many of the state lemon laws contain specific guidelines as to what constitutes a sufficient number of attempts to repair the defect, and will stipulate whether the attempts entitle the consumer to a refund or simply a replacement.
